Port Credit Emporium

Came across Port Credit Emporium Facebook page.  The store opened August 4th, 2012.  If you're in the Port Credit neighbourhood stop and check out their wonderful products.

This set popped up this week.  Last time I went to the scrap metal yard, I was given this piece of copper.  The man that works there knows me now and puts aside interesting copper for me.  Really sweet that he did that.  

This bundle of copper was hallow.  With my jeweler's saw, I was able to cut these into one inch tubes.  Surprisingly it went quite well and I decided to maket it to the end.

Reconstructed Leather Flowers Brooch/Hair Clip

My name is Marjorie, I make jewellery out of reclaimed materials.  I have always had a passion for environmental issues….doing what I can to protect my little corner of the planet.  I'm drawn to materials and found objects that possess an aura of a rich life lived.....one that will carry and retain their soulful past. 

Currently I am reusing copper, brass, old leather coats, radio, computers and VCRs.
